Terms of service
Effective
These terms cover Plinkshot: the game at play.plinkshot.com, the Plinkshot Discord Activity, and this website. Plinkshot is run by Gillette Ventures LLC, doing business as Plinkshot ("we", "us"). By playing, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not play.
Who can play
You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age to use online services in your country if that is higher. When you play inside Discord, you must also follow Discord's Terms of Service and Community Guidelines.
Your license to play
We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to play Plinkshot for your own entertainment. The game, its art, code, names and characters belong to us. You may stream, record and share videos and screenshots of your matches.
Fair play
When you play, you agree not to:
- cheat, or use bots, scripts, macros or modified clients to gain an advantage;
- exploit bugs on purpose instead of reporting them to us;
- harass, threaten or abuse other players, or use hateful or sexual language;
- flood, overload or attack our servers, or automate traffic to them;
- reverse engineer, decompile or tamper with the game to build cheats or disrupt matches;
- pretend to be another person, a bot, or a member of our team.
Player names and conduct
On the web you choose your own display name. In Discord, the game shows your Discord name. Do not use names that are offensive, hateful, sexual, or that impersonate someone. We may rename players, remove them from a match, or block them from playing if they break these terms, and we may do so without notice.
The game can change
Plinkshot is a small free game that we update often. We may add, change or remove features, cards and arenas, and we may pause or shut down the game at any time. Matches are not saved: if a server restarts or you disconnect, the match and its progress are gone.
Virtual items and payments
Plinkshot is free, and we sell nothing in it today. If we add paid cosmetics later, separate purchase terms will apply to them and we will show those terms before you buy.
Third-party services
Plinkshot relies on other companies. Discord runs the Activities platform, DigitalOcean hosts our game server, and Cloudflare provides DNS and this website. Their own terms and privacy policies apply to your use of their services, and we are not responsible for them. Our privacy policy explains what data each one handles for us.
No warranties
Plinkshot is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not promise that the game will be available, free of bugs, or free of lag.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost data, lost profits or lost goodwill, arising from your use of Plinkshot. Our total liability for any claim about Plinkshot is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or 50 US dollars. Some places do not allow these limits, so some of them may not apply to you.
Ending your access
You can stop playing at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms or if we shut the game down. The sections on ownership, no warranties, limitation of liability and governing law still apply after your access ends.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. When we do, we will post the new version here and change the effective date at the top. If you keep playing after a change takes effect, you accept the new terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Idaho, USA, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Idaho, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring it elsewhere.
